I am a leasing agent. One of the clients i leased an apartment to, wants to break the lease because the apartment is infested with cockroaches. He also claims that i showed him another apartment on the floor below, he says he never saw the apartment he rented. The landlord sprayed the apartment three times but the client claims the kitchen cabinets are rotten and full of cockroaches. The landlord refused to replace them. If the client breaks the lease, is it legal for the landlord to withhold the last month rent? Can the client sue me or the landlord for moving costs?
