Back last August of 2009 we did a loan modification with Bank of America on our house. I though our taxes and insurance was included in loan modification but was not. We got a bill for 1700.00 dollars for 2 years of taxes and insurance. I can afford to pay this I'm on disability so is my wife. If we don;t pay this and just pay our house pmt with out essrow can the bank forclose on our house. We will pay taxes and insurance ourselves staring Jan of 2011. Pls advise thks Wallace...

Hello, my husband and I purchased a home several years ago. Since then he has passed away. I am remarried and would like to buy a new home with my new husband. I am not on the note, only on the deed to the house my first husband and I purchased. Am I responsible for this house now? Will it effect my credit if I give it back to the bank? I wanted some advise on the best way to handle my situation. I pay the mortgage on the house I'm currently living in. However, the home is in my relative's name. The relative and I would like to turn the property over to my name, but according to a branch loan officer from our lending bank says I don't have sufficient income. The relative recently suggested we do a short sale. Please help me to go about this the best possible way and how to go about it!!!

we recently purchased a second home and are trying to rent out the first to pay our mortgage. However because of what we owe on the house, we have to ask a pretty good amount for the house to cover us and no one is responding. it has been about a month since we tried renting and we are wondering if the bank will approve a short sale of our first home and if not, what then happens to us if we foreclose? hi i bought 42 acre farm w/home and i decided to borrow money against part of it.so i decided to mortgage about 30 acres and the house. i found out they only mortgaged about 28 to 29 acres and the house or the ground that the house is on is not mortgaged. so i have to 5 acreas the house is sitting on and 8 acres across the road that isn't mortgaged what are the laws in the state of ohio? what rights do i have? thank...

I have a sub prime loan for 165,00 3 years ago, 80/20. Last year they erroniously kept crediting my smaller loan with my larger loan payment and I got behind on my larger loan and way ahead on my smaller loan...So they were going to start forclosure without me even knowing it!
