My mom died and left her house to her five children. The will states that we should sell the house and split it six ways with my brother Bill listed as the personal rep. As we want to put the house up for sale in the next couple of months, I need to know if it would be beneficial to change the title into one of our name's before selling? What problems will we encounter if we leave as is and do not change the title until it is sold? Someone has suggested that we should get the title changed into my brother's name before selling but I want to make sure that is a necessary step. If we don't switch the title to his name, will there be problems? Will all of us need to sign the paperwork when the house sells or just Bill because he is listed as the personal rep?
